A real visionOS app, not an iPad app in a window
Vision Pro can run many iPad apps, but they don't feel at home there. HueCommand (Command for Philips Hue on the App Store) has a native visionOS version built with SwiftUI. The tab bar for Rooms, Scenes, Automate, Effects and Settings floats just below the window as a glass ornament.
Controls use native visionOS hover effects: they highlight when you look at them, and you pinch to select. visionOS draws these highlights itself. The app is never told where you are looking.
What you can do on Vision Pro
- Rooms and lights: on/off, brightness, color and color temperature
- Scenes: activate the scenes saved on your Bridge, or create new ones
- Effects: Candle Flicker, Fireplace, Ocean Waves, Northern Lights and Thunderstorm
- Music Reactive: lights follow music picked up by the headset's microphones
- Goodnight: fade a room to off over 1, 5, 15, 30 or 60 minutes
- Remote access and Entertainment Streaming (both Pro)
- AI Scene Creator (Pro): describe a mood in your own words. It runs on-device and needs visionOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence
What's different from iPhone
A few iPhone features are not part of the Vision Pro app:
- Home Screen widgets and Control Center controls are iPhone and iPad only (see widgets)
- Geofencing, where lights react to you arriving or leaving, is iPhone only
Same Bridge, same connection
The Vision Pro app talks to your Hue Bridge the same way the iPhone app does: directly over your home network, and through the Philips Hue cloud only if you turn on remote access.
Getting started on Vision Pro
Install the app from the App Store on your Vision Pro and open it. It looks for Hue Bridges on your home network, then asks you to press the round link button on the Bridge to pair. No Bridge yet? Demo mode lets you try the app with sample rooms and scenes first.
Like any visionOS window, you can resize the app and place it where it's useful, for example next to the lamp you're controlling.
Privacy on Vision Pro
The visionOS app does not include the Firebase analytics and crash reporting used in the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV versions, so it sends no usage analytics. It does not use room-mapping, hand-tracking or gaze data. RevenueCat handles optional Pro purchases. See the privacy policy.

The app is a free download, and light control, scenes, effects, music sync and Goodnight are free. Pro adds remote access, Entertainment Streaming, AI Scene Creator, multiple Bridges and more. Is there a Philips Hue app for Apple Vision Pro?
Yes. HueCommand has a native visionOS app for Apple Vision Pro. You can control rooms, lights, scenes, effects and music sync by looking and pinching.
Does the app track where I look?
No. Vision Pro draws the highlight on whatever you look at, and apps never receive gaze data. HueCommand only learns which control you selected with a pinch.
Can I use widgets or Control Center on Vision Pro?
No. Home Screen widgets and Control Center controls are iPhone and iPad features. On Vision Pro you control lights from the app window.
Does music sync work on Vision Pro?
Yes. Music Reactive uses the headset's microphones and analyses the audio on the device. Entertainment Streaming is also available with Pro.
