Why You Need a Hue Bridge Backup

If your Hue Bridge fails, gets reset, or needs replacement, you lose everything: rooms, scenes, automations, device assignments. The official Philips Hue app has no way to export or back up your configuration.

How to Restore

1. Connect your new or reset Hue Bridge in HueCommand
2. Go to Settings > Bridge Backup
3. Tap Import and select your backup file
4. HueCommand recreates your rooms, reassigns devices, and rebuilds your scenes

Your lights need to be physically connected and discovered by the new bridge first. HueCommand then matches devices and applies your saved configuration.
