Available Voice Commands

HueCommand exposes these actions to Siri:

• Activate scenes by name — "Hey Siri, activate Movie Night in the Living Room"
• Toggle lights on or off — "Hey Siri, turn off the Bedroom lights"
• Toggle rooms on or off — "Hey Siri, turn on the Kitchen"
• Set brightness levels — "Hey Siri, set the Office lights to 50%"

Simple, natural language commands. No need to memorize specific phrases — Siri understands variations of these commands.

Apple Shortcuts Integration

Beyond voice commands, HueCommand actions are available as steps in the Apple Shortcuts app. This lets you build complex automations that combine light control with other apps and system actions.

Example shortcuts you can build:

• "Good Morning" — Turn on lights, read your calendar, start a playlist, set brightness to 80%
• "Movie Time" — Activate movie scene, lower brightness, open your streaming app
• "Leaving Home" — Turn off all lights, set thermostat, lock doors
• "Focus Mode" — Activate focus scene, enable Do Not Disturb, open your task manager

Any HueCommand action can be a step in a multi-app shortcut. The possibilities are limited only by what you want to automate.
