Philips Hue Device Management & Diagnostics
Deep visibility into every device on your Hue Bridge. Not just lights.
See Everything About Every Device
HueCommand shows detailed information for every device on your Hue Bridge — not just lights. Sensors, switches, dimmers, plugs — everything. The official Hue app hides most of this data. HueCommand puts it front and center.
Whether you're troubleshooting a device that isn't responding or just want to understand your setup better, device management gives you the full picture.
Zigbee Signal Strength
See how well each device communicates with your Hue Bridge. Identify weak spots in your Zigbee mesh network and figure out where to add repeaters.
Any always-powered Hue light acts as a Zigbee repeater, extending the mesh network. If you see a device with weak signal, adding a Hue bulb between it and the Bridge can dramatically improve reliability.
This is especially useful for large homes or setups where devices are spread across multiple floors. Stop guessing why a light is unresponsive — check its signal strength.
Sensor Readings
- Motion sensors — detection state and battery level
- Temperature sensors — current temperature reading and battery level
- Contact sensors — open/closed state and tamper detection
- Light level sensors — current lux readings for ambient light detection
All sensor data is pulled directly from your Hue Bridge in real time. See exactly what your sensors are reporting without digging through the Hue developer API.
Battery Monitoring
Track battery levels across all battery-powered devices — sensors, switches, dimmers. Know when batteries need replacing before devices stop working.
No more discovering a dead motion sensor when your automation fails to trigger. HueCommand shows battery percentages so you can replace them proactively.
Firmware Information
See current firmware version, model name, and manufacturer info for every device. Useful for troubleshooting compatibility issues or verifying that firmware updates have been applied.
When Signify releases firmware updates, you can check which devices are up to date and which might need attention.
Identify Lights
Flash any light from the device detail screen to identify which physical bulb corresponds to which entry in the app. Tap the identify button and the light blinks — no more guessing which "Hue color lamp 3" is which.
This is especially helpful after initial setup when you're naming and organizing lights into rooms.
Free Feature
Device management and diagnostics are free features in HueCommand. No Pro subscription required. Every HueCommand user gets full access to device details, Zigbee signal info, sensor readings, battery monitoring, and firmware information.
